Ilmari Tapiovaara designed this timeless chair in 1946 for the Domus Academica student housing complex in Helsinki, but it's been a staple in homes and publice spaces around the world ever since. It's been lovingly nicknamed "The Finn Chair" for its comfort while sitting for long periods, especially for students studying.
