Known for combining expressive and abstract figures with familiar, everyday shapes, Barcelona-based German artist Sabine Finckenauer crafted this Atalaya pattern through inspiration from an old chess set she discovered at a Madrid flea market. Atalaya means "watchtower" in Spanish, representing Finckenauer's goal to create shapes that resemble a tower. Made in Finland, this Marimekko Atalaya fabric is suitable for all kinds of endeavors such as clothing pieces, pillows, curtains, tablecloths and more. The various peach, red, and green shapes dress up this machine washable, 100% cotton fabric.
