Mini-Unikko Flowers

This is one of my favorite Marimekko prints: The flowers are about 4" - 5" across in size, which makes it perfect to use in my quilting projects. The two-toned pale green centers are lovely, and coordinate with a lot of other fabrics. The black and white design elements are rhythmic and very striking.
Pros
The shades of green as accents to what is essentially a great black and white design. I worried (from the image on the website) that the design would look too rigidly "lined up", but that is not a problem at all. The green flower centers are much more dominant when you see the actual fabric, and the whole design flows very well.
Cons
The areas of white fabric are a tiny bit transparent...it is not a problem for my quilting, because the batting behind the fabric is white, but on a dress, for example, you might need to use a lining or interfacing.
