This Marimekko duvet brings a whole new meaning to the term "garden bed." Mykerö means Equatorial in Finnish, celebrating the tropical places close to the equator where bright flora flourishes. Hues of goldenrod, olive, navy, periwinkle, and peach pop against an ecru backdrop. In a 200-thread-count, the 100% cotton percale duvet is conveniently machine washable to stay looking crisp and clean on a freshly made bed. The duvet includes hidden button closures and inside ties at corners to help keep your comforter insert (not included) in place.
This set includes: One duvet cover and two standard shams.
About Percale: A high-quality weave, percale has a noticeably tighter weave that allows for a higher thread count which makes the sheets softer to the touch. Medium in weight, the fabric is matte with no additional sheen or shine but the texture is very smooth and able to resist warping and washes exceptionally well.

I love my duvet set. Not only is it well made with keeping the integrity of this brand in mind concerning exceptional quality & attention to detail, it is also beautifully appointed with happy sunflowers. The bright print inspires joy & brightness to my whole bedroom. The shams are just the right size for my pillows and are crisp so they stand up nicely at the head of the bed. This set goes well with the black & white patterned sheets also available in the Marimekko line. Pros
Quality, correct sizing, beautiful unique bedding, duvet cover is easy to put on with button closure. Washes well ( always read the care labels before washing as most of the bright pattern sheets will bleed so they need to be washed separately. Merchandise is packed well, arrives on time and should you have any issues arise, the customer service is superb.
Cons
Buttons will fall off when laundered if you do not close them before going in machine. Not really a con, just something to keep in mind.

A Present for my Sister - She Loved It!

My sister, who lives in a small 100-year old house near the Sound in Milford, Ct. was talking about incorporating a Sunflower print on her white painted wood wall above her dresser. I Googled "Sunflower and Duvet Cover" and came upon this site - even before the Marimekko site.
I liked the fact that the duvet was 100% cotton, many of the other duvet covers that appeared on Google were non-cotton fabric which I thought might not be too comfortable.
Anyway, I ordered it and had it shipped to her with a few other items as a surprise gift. Thrilled! She sent me pictures which look even better than the stock photo. Everything was nicely gift wrapped as well. Thanks for the prompt, excellent service.

Marimekko means vivid colors, and this duvet is bright and beautiful, more beautiful than the images on the website can reflect. The fabric is the perfect weight cotton, neither stiff nor flimsy, and it washed beautifully. I love the three pieces I bought for the lovely colors and clean design. The order arrived promptly. Overall, a great shopping experience.
