Antii Kekki uses a paper cutout technique to create the Rukinlapa (Distaff) pattern. The distaff, used for spinning fibers, is interpreted here as a cutout decorated with vegetal patterns. It makes a striking and modern throw pillow in a dark blue and olive colorway. This throw pillow cover unzips along one side and can be removed for easy machine washing.

I got this throw pillow to go with the Marimekko Kalasaaki yellow and cream pillow and the Melooni deep pile pillow. A nice grouping of different textures and complimentary colors.
